Ich bin mir nur noch nicht ganz klar geworden, wer mit "He" gemeint ist. Gott vielleicht? Jemand ne Idee?

Zum Hintergrund: James Blunt hat als britischer Soldat im Kosovo gedient, seine Erlebnisse dort verarbeitet er z.T. auch in seinen Liedern.

Nein, sicher nicht!
Das "He" ist in diesem Text eher negativ besetzt.
Also "He" = "Krieg", "Verderben", "Untergang" ,"Übel", etc oder so?

Würde doch irgendwie passen....
Mal ganz ab davon geht mir James Blunt nur auf die Nerven. Er reitet auf seinem Kosovoeinsatz rum und lässt keine Gelegenheit aus, das irgendwie einzubringen.

Mir selber geht im Moment kein einziger Liedtext nahe - zudem ich sowieso weniger auf den text achte als auf die Musik

Lustigerweise ein Lied, bei dem man den Refrain (siehe oben) extrem gut in der Gruppe mitgröhlen kann.

Das Lied geht einfach nur unter die Haut.Ganz besonders in der live Version,speziell das kozert aus der brixton academy (die perfektion erreicht das lied mit dem video).Hier geben sich Melancholie,Musikalisches Gefühl und eine WELT'klasse Stimme die Klinke in die Hand.

Allerdings liegt das nicht nur am Text sondern am ganzen Lied,denn meiner meinung nach bringt der beste Text nix,ohne passende lala.Klar ist der gesang sehr wichtig,aber ohne passende "melodie" geht nix,denn dann geht er unter.Also in so fern ist der Text zwar ein sehr wichtiger teil eines liedes (aber eben nicht mehr als ein Teil).Das ist zumindest meine Meinung ... Ein ebenfalls mich sehr berrührender Text bzw lied ist von Genesis - No son of mine
